Find out more about Coventry

With a population of over 300,000, there is no shortage of property within the area of Coventry. Twinned with the Russian city of Volgograd (formally Stalingrad), Coventry was the world’s first twinned city during the times of the Second World War. Dating back from the Bronze Age, Coventry was an ideal location for properties with its dense woodland, large rivers and mild climate.

Property is not the only thing that Coventry has to offer; it is a city described to represent peace and reconciliation and is the home to Britain’s Motor Industry, as well as a major textile hub during the late 20th century. Coventry is also the home to sporting club Coventry City Football Club, who have been playing since 2005 at their new home, Ricoh Arena; a complex that is also home to Arena Park Shopping Centre and Coventry’s Exhibition Hall.

The best-known landmark and most visited Coventry property would be the famous St’ Michael’s Cathedral. With the original 14th century Cathedral mostly destroyed during the World War II, St. Michael’s is one of the newest Cathedrals in Britain, and is now situated beside the ruins of the original.

The Cathedral is not the only ruins Coventry has to offer, Coventry Castle and the Roman fort, Lunt Fort, are examples of historical property that still exist within the city today.

Another well-known property in Coventry is the Belgrade Theatre, which was the world’s first purpose built civic theatre, officially opening in 1958. The theatre has since been able to offer new programmes inspiring learning in schools within Coventry.

Coventry Transport Museum is the home to the largest Collection of British Made Vehicles in the world and remains a population attraction to visit in Coventry; especially considering entrance to this property is free.

Another property Coventry has to offer is the Herbert Art Gallery Museum, which can be found within the city centre and is in close proximity to Coventry’s Central Library.

The city is also the home to Coventry Airport, which also has its own Midland Air Museum, located next to the airport itself.

Coventry is not only a great place to buy a property; it is also a brilliant place to study. With close proximity to University of Warwick and the modern city based campus of Coventry University, Coventry has everything to offer students an individual and rounded educational experience.
